I have recently come to the conclusion that male WASPs do not understand high fashion. I am currently sporting dark brown/ blackish looking OPI nail polish. This past weekend I went out with K in Georgetown. I was chatting with a typical Georgetown- “DC Late Night Shots Blog” guy when he drunkingly noticed my nail polish. I then received the annoying comment, “black nail polish! Are you like goth or something?”
Oh Lord. How do I respond to that? Well, whatever would have been the witty and best response was not, of course, what I used. I said, “whaaaaaat no! Haven’t you seen any fashion magazines, it is like ATR right now!” With that comment I officially moved to being a bigger ass than he was. And he was wearing a wool sweater over a collared shirt.
